Science Afternoon

Science Afternoon

Just before half term year 6 had Mrs Selkirk come to visit their class.  She is a scientist and super excited about all things science.  She shared her knowledge with us and then lead us in a carousel of activities which helped us to understand a little more about evolution and adaptation which we have been learning about all term.  We discovered why birds have different shaped beaks and looked at ways polar bears might adapt to future environmental changes as well as creating family trees showing who can and can’t roll their tongue and finally looked at characteristics that are both inherited and environmental.  Year 6 had a fabulous afternoon and thank Mrs Selkirk for giving up her time to come in a work with us.
