Year 6 Visit the Knife Angel in Welwyn Garden City

Our Year 6 pupils visited the Knife Angel sculpture in Welwyn Garden City this week — a powerful national monument, which is travelling the country, created to raise awareness about the devastating impact of knife crime and to promote RESPECT and KINDNESS. 

During their visit, the children took part in an interactive workshop where they learned about making positive choices, staying safe, and looking out for others. They showed great maturity and respect when discussing these important themes and represented Waterside Academy brilliantly. 

A huge well done to Year 6 — we are so proud of how thoughtfully you engaged with today’s experience.
