Family Liaison Officer Support
At Waterside, we know that children thrive best when school and home work closely together. To support this, we have a dedicated Family Liaison Officer (FLO) who works alongside families to offer help, guidance, and a listening ear.
Our Family Liaison Officer, Jaqui Mattholie, provides support for parents and carers in a wide range of areas, including:
-
Family wellbeing and emotional support
-
Attendance and routines
-
Behaviour and relationships at home and school
-
Accessing wider support services when needed
-
Advice and guidance during challenging times
Jaqui works closely with school staff and external agencies to ensure families feel supported and know where to turn for help.
A Visible and Approachable Presence
Jaqui is regularly on the playground at drop-off and pick-up times, making it easy for parents and carers to say hello, ask questions, or raise any concerns informally. This helps us build strong, trusting relationships and ensures support is accessible to everyone.
Coffee Mornings and Parent Support HUBs
Throughout the year, Jaqui also leads Coffee Mornings and Parent Support HUB sessions. These provide a relaxed and welcoming opportunity for parents and carers to:
-
Meet other families
-
Ask questions and share experiences
-
Access advice and support in a friendly setting
Dates for these sessions can be found on our term dates and events calendar.
Getting in Touch
Parents and carers are always welcome to speak to Jaqui in person or to contact the school if they would like support.
