Accessibility Plan

At Waterside Academy, we are committed to ensuring that every member of our community can access all aspects of school life. A full site accessibility audit was carried out by Equality Act Audits in September 2025. Our Accessibility Plan (2025–2028) sets out the actions we will take over the next three years to improve access to the curriculum, the physical environment, and information for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors with disabilities.

This plan supports our wider commitment to inclusion and equality, in line with the Equality Act 2010 and the School Information (England) Regulations 2012. 

The plan focuses on three key areas:

• Access to the curriculum – ensuring teaching, learning, and wider opportunities are accessible to all pupils.

• Access to the physical environment – improving access to buildings, facilities, and outdoor spaces.

• Access to information – making sure that communication and published information are available in formats accessible to everyone.
