We are also incredibly proud of our Netball team who took part in a local Netball Tournament held at Monk’s Walk School. The team came a very respectful 4th place despite playing in very wet weather conditions. Well done girls!

On Thursday 1st December, 8 children from Year 6 represented Waterside at the Inter-School Archery Competition, which was held at Ridgeway Academy. Our team competed against 5 other schools across Welwyn Garden City. It was a perfect opportunity for the children to improve their accuracy and coordination and it was wonderful to see them supporting and encouraging their peers. Although we didn’t win the team game on this occasion, the children were extremely pleased when Olivia won first place in the ‘shoot out’.

After qualifying on the 20th October, Miss Sturmey returned back to Ridgeway with Olivia, Lilliana, Ryan, Jaydon, George, Freddie, Jack, Tamara, Hester and Lexi for the ‘Basketball District Final Competition’.

We played 20-minute games against seven other schools within the district.  The competition was tough, but the children remained focused and worked together as a team, displaying excellent dedication and resilience. We were extremely pleased when it was announced we came 4th overall.

Well done Team Waterside!
